Rush for foreigners in Japan, Korea

While some countries in the West are moving to raise walls and immigration barriers, two of the most developed countries in Asia are rushing to embrace foreigners.

Japan and Korea are hastening the move to absorb foreigners to fill jobs that their economies need, partly the result of low birth rates. In fact, Japan is trying to keep foreign students to stay on to work in the country through new retention programmes.
