Reaping the benefits of an aging workforce

More than half of Americans from the baby boomer generation are willing to work past their retirement age, a report by the Transamerica Centre for Retirement Studies found. More role-model employers are also training and engaging older workers, overturning the perception that these workers lack stamina and cost more for companies to hire them.

Singapore is seeing a similar trend of older employees challenging the aging stereotype. Companies are now given more help to support older workers, such as through the enhanced WorkPro Scheme, which encourages employers to adopt age-friendly practices in the workplace.
