Immigrants are helping to make up the numbers at France’s Foreign Legion, one of the world’s respected armed forces unit.
As migrant numbers grow in Europe, a solution to help integrate people into communities could lie in assimilating them into the nation’s defence forces. With over 140 nationalities serving under them, the French Foreign Legion continues to attract soldiers from all across the world who dedicate their lives to serving as soldiers on the frontlines. Similarly in Singapore, the Singapore Armed Forces Volunteer Corps is bringing different nationalities together under one roof to fight for a common cause.
