Japan needs to open up to immigrants or risk losing out

As certain that the sun rises from the East, assimilating foreigners is critical for the Land of The Rising Sun to battle declining population rates in the country.

With low birth rates and a longer life expectancy, Japan’s population is at risk of not being able to replace itself at a rate where it is able to sustain its economic and social needs. The only way to achieve this is for the nation to move away from its closed door stance when it comes to integrating foreigners into its society.

With a similar demographic experiencing, Singapore also has to be more open to the idea of foreigners being part of the social fabric to complement and drive growth in the workforce and support Singapore’s social and economic needs.
