As Singapore ages, seniors enjoy more options for care arrangements

In the living room of a one-storey bungalow at Bukit Timah, a group of seniors are chatting and having dinner. They live together, sharing meals and common spaces at St Bernadette’s Lifestyle Village, an assisted living facility.

With demand for elderly care rising, companies and organisations are moving to provide different options of care facilities. And while the number of nursing rooms are rising, many seniors are opting for different forms of care, from assisted living facilities to living close to their families in smaller flats.
