A new touchpoint for seniors with dementia

A poem a day could keep dementia at bay – this is precisely what the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project hopes to promote through the use of poetry. More nursing homes are receiving training on the use of poetry in improving the quality of life of people under their care.

Poetry has the potential to promote healing and growth, and can be a form of an art therapy for people with dementia.

Singapore is also helping our seniors stay mentally and physically active through various  initiatives to keep them engaged and intellectually stimulated.
