Mathew Mathews

Dr Mathew Mathews is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies.

He leads the Society and Identity cluster where he broadly examines issues surrounding societal cohesion. His research and publications include those on race, religion and immigrant integration as well as those surrounding the issues of family, ageing and poverty. Dr Mathew is also interested in how social programmes assist with societal concerns and has been involved in a number of research projects where he has evaluated the usefulness of various initiatives.

Besides his academic interests, he is actively involved in community service. Mathew is President of Alive Community Network and sits on the advisory boards of and Hua Mei Centre for Successful Ageing. He also serves as a Research Advisor to the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the VWOs-Charities Capability Fund Panel.
