Hoon Hian Teck


Hoon Hian Teck is Professor of Economics and Associate Dean at the School of Economics, Singapore Management University. He obtained his Ph.D. in economics at Columbia University in 1990. He specialises in macroeconomics, international trade, and economic growth. Since 2000, he has published several op-eds on issues of policy interest with relevance to the Singapore economy dealing with the nature and challenges of growth and business fluctuations, joblessness, and rewards to low-wage earners. He is a past Vice-President of the Economic Society of Singapore (2002-2004) and has served as co-editor of the Singapore Economic Review since January 2002.
